
D-Wave to Host Qubits Asia 2026 Quantum Computing User Conference in Seoul
Focused on the growing impact of quantum computing across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, the event will spotlight production applications addressing complex business challenges and research advancing scientific discovery, as well as the latest developments in D-Wave’s annealing and gate-model technologies. The conference will bring together D-Wave executives, customers, researchers and industry leaders to share lessons from real-world implementations, exchange best practices and explore opportunities to accelerate quantum computing adoption across APAC.

Qubits Asia 2026 will feature the following program highlights:
- D-Wave CEO Dr. Alan Baratz and Chief Development Officer Dr. Trevor Lanting will share updates on the Company’s annealing and gate-model quantum computing technologies, commercial applications and advances in quantum AI.
- Shuichi Fukuda, a researcher at NTT DOCOMO, Japan’s largest mobile operator, will discuss the company’s two D-Wave-powered quantum computing applications now operating in production and the resulting improvements in network efficiency and performance.
- Wanki Cho, consulting manager at LG CNS, will discuss how the company is using D-Wave™ technology to enhance 3D CT imaging for manufacturing inspections.- Professor Daniel Park of Yonsei University will explore how annealing quantum computing could enhance generative AI workflows.
- Po-Hsun Fang of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University will present a quantum annealing framework for reticle optimization in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Assistant Professor Seon-Geun Jeong of Gyeongsang National University will present research that used D-Wave technology to optimize berth and quay-crane allocation at Busan Port, successfully scheduling more than 50 vessels and 15 quay cranes using real operational data.

[Call for Papers] QuBench 2026, hosted by JIJ @ IEEE Quantum Week 2026
JIJ Inc. is now accepting workshop paper submissions for QuBench 2026: Quantum Benchmarking, Validation, and Resource Estimation in Quantum-HPC Systems, a workshop organized by JIJ Inc. and held in conjunction with IEEE Quantum Week 2026.
QuBench 2026 focuses on quantum benchmarking, validation, and resource estimation. The workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners across the quantum and Quantum-HPC communities to discuss reliable and reproducible evaluation practices.

6/2-3 Quantinuum June 2026 Symposium
We are pleased to invite you to the Quantinuum June 2026 Symposium, co-hosted by Quantinuum, RIKEN TRIP Headquarters, UTokyo Research Institute for Photon Science and Laser Technology (Utripl), Center of Innovation for Sustainable Quantum AI (SQAI), and Quantum and Semiconductor Science & Technology Program (Q-STEP).
This symposium aims to share and discuss research results toward the future development of quantum technology, including HPC-quantum hybrid computing environments, quantum error correction, applications in quantum chemistry, and applications in the life sciences.

本タスクフォースでは、量子コンピュータのハードウェア・ソフトウェアの研究者と利用者(創薬企業等)が同じテーブルにつき、市場動向や技術成熟度、実装事例を踏まえながら、創薬における活用可能性を段階的に整理・検討してまいります。
本タスクフォースの活動は今後JBA会員限定で進めていく予定ですが、今回のキックオフセミナーは広く門戸を開放し、外部の皆様にもご聴講いただける機会といたしました。
