At Fixstars Amplify, we are working to solve societal challenges and apply solutions to real-world operations using our optimization computing cloud, "Fixstars Amplify."
Quantum annealing and Ising machines are specialized machines designed to solve cutting-edge combinatorial optimization problems. They can quickly and accurately solve nonlinear optimization problems that include quadratic or higher-order terms, which were challenging for traditional solvers. This technology is applied across a wide range of fields, including production planning optimization, employee shift optimization, route optimization, energy management optimization, feature extraction in machine learning, structural design and shape optimization, and the optimization of material blending ratios and manufacturing conditions.
There are two main approaches to combinatorial optimization problems: a formulation-based approach, where you construct mathematical expressions and search for the combination that yields the best objective function value, and an approach called Black Box Optimization (BBO), which is used when formulation is difficult or impossible, and you sequentially search for the best combination by combining simulations, experimental measurements, and machine learning. Quantum annealing and Ising machines are effective for both approaches.
In this seminar, we will introduce the Fixstars Amplify Annealing Engine, Fixstars Amplify's proprietary Ising machine, which recently received a major update. We will also explain its development concept, how to use it, and its various benchmark performance metrics.
We encourage you to attend this seminar and experience cutting-edge optimization technology.
Note: This seminar will be held twice, from 11:00-12:00 and 14:00-15:00. The content is identical, so please attend the session that best suits your schedule.
