On the Incorporation of the "Council for the Creation of New Industries through Quantum Technology (Q-STAR)" as a General Incorporated Association
— Aiming to Accelerate the "Creation of Quantum Industries" —

Since its establishment on September 1, 2021, the Council for the Creation of New Industries through Quantum Technology (Abbreviation: Q-STAR*) has operated as a voluntary organization with 59 participating entities, transcending industry and corporate boundaries, with the aim of creating new industries utilizing quantum technology. Now, with a view to further expanding and developing its activities, we have established the "General Incorporated Association Council for the Creation of New Industries through Quantum Technology," and today, we held the General Meeting of Members and the first Board of Directors meeting, launching the new organizational structure.
*English name: Quantum STrategic industry Alliance for Revolution

Quantum technology is a foundational technology with the strength to be at the core of new value creation, and in recent years, global research and development in quantum technology has become active. Q-STAR aims to demonstrate global leadership and, by promoting activities that contribute to the development of science and technology in a new era, to promote Japanese industries and strengthen international competitiveness. Furthermore, it aims to actively connect with organizations worldwide, not just in Japan, on various themes, and together create quantum industries.

By transitioning from a voluntary organization to a general incorporated association and having vendor companies and user companies work together as one under the new structure to promote activities, we will expand the scope of our activities and aim to accelerate the creation of quantum-related industries and businesses.
