From July 29-30, 2024, the "Workshop for Quantum Startups Creation in Japan with Chicago-Q-STAR-Tohoku Quantum Alliance Symposium" was held, co-organized by the University of Chicago, the Council for New Industry Creation by Quantum Technology (Q-STAR), and Tohoku University, with support from the U.S. Embassy, the Cabinet Office, and the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), and in cooperation with Keio University.

From July 29-30, 2024, the "Workshop for Quantum Startups Creation in Japan with Chicago-Q-STAR-Tohoku Quantum Alliance Symposium" was held, co-organized by the University of Chicago, the Council for New Industry Creation by Quantum Technology (Q-STAR), and Tohoku University, with support from the U.S. Embassy, the Cabinet Office, and the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), and in cooperation with Keio University.

A mentoring and workshop program was conducted for young researchers, including Japanese graduate students, to help them transition from basic research to commercialization in the quantum field.

Specialized discussions were held with a view to formulating the "Duality Japan program," which would lead to full participation in Duality, a university-launched quantum startup acceleration program at the University of Chicago.
