Q-STAR's SDGs Committee participated in the Alain Aspect Symposium, held from November 19 to 20, 2024, at "iXcampus" in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France. "iXcampus," the venue, is gaining attention as a new hub for innovation, housing startups, academic partners, and an international conference center. It is located approximately 20 km west of central Paris, with further facility expansion planned by 2025.

The symposium focused on climate change research and the application of quantum technology for its mitigation, featuring a program that included keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and panel discussions.

Representing Q-STAR, Tomoyo Matsuoka of the SDGs Committee spoke at a panel discussion, introducing Japan's quantum community. Q-STAR's distinctive feature, compared to overseas communities, is the large number of participating user companies, which garnered particular attention.

At the symposium venue, industry, academia, and startups gathered, and exhibition booths were set up to showcase their research results, products, and initiatives. At Q-STAR's booth, the SDGs Committee screened a video titled "Future Prospects Expected from the Application of Quantum Computers in SDGs." By disseminating Q-STAR's activities and achievements, we successfully attracted interest from participating overseas companies.
