Chicago-Tohoku Quantum Alliance Quantum Ideathon 2025 Quantum Startup Creation Program: Call for Participants

From Tuesday, August 19 to Thursday, August 21, 2025, Tohoku University and the Association for Quantum Technology and New Industry Creation (Q-STAR) will co-host the "Chicago-Tohoku Quantum Alliance Quantum Ideathon 2025 Quantum Startup Creation Program."
This program aims to foster new businesses utilizing quantum technology, allowing participants to experience "refining quantum business ideas" firsthand. Experts in the quantum field from Japan and abroad will participate as mentors, leveraging the global network of the Chicago-Tohoku Quantum Alliance to provide diverse feedback from an international perspective.
Participants will divide into small teams and engage in practical startup creation processes, from building business ideas centered on quantum technology to developing prototypes, through repeated discussions. Awards will be given for outstanding ideas and products, and supplementary prizes are also planned.
We sincerely look forward to the participation of students and young professionals with an interest in or basic knowledge of quantum computing technology, those interested in future entrepreneurship, those who want to experience an Ideathon as a method for business creation, and those looking to meet like-minded peers.
Applications close August 1st
