"Quantum Gamification" to be Held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai

The Quantum Technology Innovation Consortium (Q-STAR) will host the stage event "Quantum Gamification" on August 16 at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, as part of the special exhibition "Entangled Moments — [Quantum, Ocean, Space] × Art," which is hosted by the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from August 14 to August 20.

"Quantum Gamification" is an event held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, where participants from diverse backgrounds gather. It will offer a fun experience of the quantum world, primarily for people in industries who have had limited exposure to quantum technology and for younger generations. Through games, participants can naturally learn about the basic mechanisms and potential of quantum technology. The aim is for participants to realize, "I thought quantum technology was difficult, but it's actually deeply connected to our daily lives."

Q-STAR positions this event as the first step towards a society where everyone can excitedly discuss the future of quantum technology. Specifically, it will feature multiple talk sessions centered on "Quantum Technology × Games," and at the exhibition booth, visitors can experience the quantum-themed board game "Time Bomb Q" (Note).

Q-STAR is actively working towards the development and future social implementation of quantum technology. In line with the Japanese government's goal, outlined in the "Quantum Future Society Vision," to increase the number of quantum technology users in Japan to 10 million by 2030, Q-STAR will continue its efforts to further expand the reach of quantum technology.
