In June 2025, following the G7 Leaders’ first-ever formal recognition of quantum technologies as a top priority, the International Council of Quantum Industry Associations (ICQIA) and UKQuantum released a joint statement. They emphasized quantum’s increasing impact on the economy, security, and society, and called for stronger international collaboration and trusted partnerships. As quantum enters commercial deployment, greater cooperation across the G7 is expected to accelerate progress.
