In addition to introducing trends in the Japanese government and case studies from Tohoku University, which is one of the “Quantum Technology Innovation Hubs” as a “Quantum Solution Hub” in the government’s “Quantum Future Society Vision,” this symposium invites key figures in industry-academia-government collaboration from The University of Chicago, a world leader in the field of quantum innovation. The latest developments in the formation of the quantum ecosystem in Chicago, including the introduction of “Duality,” the first quantum startup creation program in the U.S., will be introduced, and the possibility of international collaboration from basic research to commercialization in the quantum field will be discussed.
